We were consulted by a long standing customer on how to improve throughput as they were in possession of up to 20 of our depositors which were all 20 years old.

Maintenance had been minimal during the this period of production but still the machines ran very well.

To increase production they were considering buying a whole tranche of new machines, however unless they spent a considerable amount their return would be minimal and would take years to recover.

We offered to service and update the machines and re-mount them as twin depositors effectively doubling output based on cycle times.

This saved the company considerable investment as this refurbishment cost 25% of the price for new machines and gave better output and flexibility.

We replaced high wear stainless steel parts and pneumatics and improved controls by updating electrics.

So instead of 8 single machines taking up a massive footprint they now have 4 twin machines which are more flexible, more easily maintained and far more efficient.

Discussions are ongoing as to where we can improve other areas of their production with similar issues and the introduction of new and improved technology.
